Volunteering in our local area is an important part of our ongoing sustainability strategy, along with reviewing our consumption, waste generation and procurement practices, and helping our clients make more sustainable choices.
This time we rolled-up our sleeves to help prepare Albion Square Gardens (near Haggerston) for its upcoming Green Flag evaluation. The Green Flag is a benchmark international standard and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces.
We spent the afternoon pulling weeds and tidying up rubbish in the overgrown park. By the time we left it was looking much fresher! Fortunately we had lovely weather, and it was great to spend the day outdoors working with the Hackney Parks team.
